How glass holds light

Glass is a material of change. An object may seem quiet and transparent in the morning, rich and almost opaque in the evening. A change of angle or light source is enough.

Take time to look

Notice the proportions, wall thickness and finish of the rim, base and surface. Good questions are the beginning of understanding.

Colour is not everything

A bright colour attracts attention, but condition matters just as much. Edges, repairs and signs of use require suitable light and physical inspection.
